Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain the UWD Audit and follow up system of Service Company Quality Plans that describe the manufacture and inspection of drilling and completions operations.Reduce rig NPT (Non Productive Time) within PDO Wells, through QA management of all service providers. This includes drilling and completions equipment and OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods), as well as drilling tools, wireline, logging, perforating, drill pipe inspection, etc.Comply with Company HSE standards and lifesaving rules. Set a clear HSE leadership example and promote a high degree of health, safety and environmental awareness among project stakeholders.Assess local district shops through annual quality systems audits. Follow up with contractors to ensure gaps are closed; preventative measures are put in place, to continually improve and drive sustainable improvements in their Quality Plan and systems. Constructively report back findings with smart actions clearly detailing responsible parties and dates. Additionally maintain a diligent follow-up program.Ensure PDO HSE programs, procedures and guidelines are incorporated into inspection/surveillance process and monitor supplier and inspector HSE performance.Perform detailed review of quality and service plans for each contractor, and confirm key quality control items and hold points including NDT and assembly & testing procedures are captured.Monitor implementation of Service Contractor’s quality control plans / ITPs, procedures and work instruction. Verify Service Contractor’s records of calibration, inspection & test equipment.ISO 9001:2015 / API Q1 / Q2 process based audits of manufacturer’s / service company’s district locationsISO 9001:2015 / API Q1 / Q2 process based audits of selected manufacturing and threading locationsISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification will sufficeLead and or participate in quality & HSE audits and other inspection as applicable.Maintain files on all QA issues & administer the Non – Conformance Reports until resolution, completion and acceptance.Provide field based mentoring and coaching & training to junior QA/QC engineers / Well Engineers, etc and assist in performance evaluation of their development.Job RequirementsBachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or appropriate. Alternative qualification may be accepted at the discretion of the Company.Shall be a registered Lead Assessor with IRCA, RABQSA or equivalent. (Where equivalent is proposed, evidence of equivalence shall be provided).Shall have minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas projects. He shall have a minimum of 5 years management experience in establishment, operation and maintenance of a quality management system in accordance with applicable international standard preferably in wells environment (i.e. drilling and completion).5 Years experience in auditingDetailed understanding of Service Quality Plans, Quality Management Systems and their implementation.Detailed understanding of ISO 9001 / API Q1 / API Q2 requirements.Previous experience writing/approving Service Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans for manufacturing and service locations of oilfield contractors/vendors.Familiar with exploration and production drilling and completion tools, OCTG, premium connections, rig equipment and field/rig inspection processes (electromagnetic, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, visual, and dimensional), industry inspection standards and specifications including common destructive testing methods.Experience of working to and fully conversant with:Documented experience in ISO 9001 based quality system audits and detailed understanding of the role of contractor/vendor Quality Management System (QMS).A working knowledge of the T.H. Hill DS-1 / STC-1 and Fearnley Procter NS-2.Understanding of different welding methods and general requirements for WPS and PQR.Understanding of drill pipe inspection requirements in DS-1 as well as re-facing, re-cutting, hard banding.Understanding of industry leading contractor drilling tool BHA maintenance management systems (such as Schlumberger D&M, etc) and first alert/engineering change communication process.Understanding of premium connection make-up graphs as well as proper API connection make-up.Familiarity with the following specifications: API 5CT (PSL1/2), 5L, 14A, 11D1, 14L, 6A.Understanding of common oilfield OCTG size, weight and grade.A working knowledge of non-destructive inspection standards and specification such as ASNT and the relevant standards and specifications referenced in API Spec 8C, API Spec 7, and a familiarity with those referenced in API 6A/17D, 16R, 16F, 16A, 16C, ASME, NACE
