Take this opportunity to go further.The ProjectSalalah Methanol Company (SMC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Oman Oil Company (OOC), has awarded SNC-LAVALIN, a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 1,000 metric tons per day anhydrous liquid ammonia plant, including its utilities and off-site infrastructure, in Salalah Free Zone, located in the Dhofar. This vital project is in line with the economic diversification of the Sultanate, and as part of the Companys growth strategy with the aim of contributing to value creation. Setting up the ammonia plant is considered an important milestone for high value-added petrochemical industries.RoleThe HR Coordinator is required to support all HR activities on the Salalah project site. This individual will ensure that HR best practices are implemented and all employees assigned to the project receive the support required on a daily basis.The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Regional HR Shared Services team (Recruitment, HR Administration, Compensation and Benefits) and the Salalah ProjectManagement Team.You will be the primary HR point of contact on the project site and will liaise regularly with the disciplines Human Resources Business Partners.ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Director, Construction Director and others Project Leadership TeamCoordinate Assignment (With Global Mobility or Regional shared servicesMonitor project staffing needs in accordance with MFLCoordinate Projects HR activities in accordance with site management requirementsTraining (CoE certification)On boarding / MobilizationDemobilizationSupport corporate initiatives and processesPerformance managementTalent review and developmentConflict of interestSalary administrationRespond to and assist employees with enquiries related to pay, benefits, vacations, claims and other general questionsInsure compliance with local immigration and labor laws and standardsAssumes responsibility for maintaining accurate records and data for reporting purposesLiaise with PRO in order to coordinate immigration activitiesProfileExperience and QualificationsThe correct candidate must have be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3-4 yearsexperience of working in a similar Human Resources role, preferably in the engineering and construction industry.Bachelor degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experienceComputer literacy and excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)Payroll experience is an assetPersonal attributesAble to collaborate with various stakeholders (Corporate, BUs, Project)Capacity to deliver under pressure, fast past and constant change environmentMust possess a positive, solution-oriented and customer-focused attitudeActions orientedGood conflict management skillsFocus on Ethics and core value of the CompanyIntegrity and trustStrong verbal written communication skillsWorker TypeEmployeeJob TypeRegular
